Special Guest tomorrow night at the house We'll meet tomorrow night at St. Patrick's again (click the link on the previous post for a map), and Terry's going to lead us in another evening prayer service. For those of you who grew up as I did in conservative, evangelical, independent protestant churches, you probably were brought up with an extreme lack of this type of thing and maybe even a suspicion of ritual for ritual's sake. I must say that I found the prayer service last week to be a breath of fresh air. If anything else, it was very cool knowing that we were sharing a common element with Christians far away and long gone, as it has been done by Christians all over the world and extends back to the days of the early church. ALSO, tomorrow night, we have the pleasure of hearing from Tom Mohn, who Jimmy calls the "Forrest Gump" of Christianity ('cuz he's been everywhere and seen it all). I have no idea what he's going to talk about, but I've heard him speak often enough to know that it'll be good. Terry wants to try to start the prayer service around 6:30, so if you come, try to get there a few minutes earlier than normal. Expect to be done around 8:30 or 9. See you tomorrow.
